Unleash The Curls - Perm Rod Results

A few weeks ago I was in the Sally's store and came across perm rods. While I have seen them many times before I never thought to try them in my own tresses. Lately I've been doing a lot of pinterest stalking, and while at Sally's I recalled seeing gorgeous ladies posting pics of their perm rod results. So while in Sally's I decided to give the look a go. Ladies I am so glad I ventured out because I love these little rods. My results were so great that I even went back for bigger sizes....more on that later. Look below to see my results, and I will a full tutorial shortly on how I achieved this look.

Texlax Update #5, Unofficial Length Check - Hair Rant - I'm Tired of Wearing Wigs

Twisted Flexi Rod Hair Tutorial

One of my favorite hairstyles is a simple twisted look which can be achieved by using flexi rods. This hairstyle can be done on any hair type or texture, natural hair, texlaxed & of course relaxed girls too!

It's simple style to do, and you can achieve different variations in curls by using different flexi rod sizes, as well as doing it on wet or dry hair, Check out my latest video to see step by step how you can create beautiful twisted curls by using flexi rods.

How I Moisturise My New Growth At 16 Weeks Post + New Growth Texture Shots

New growth can become a monster if you don't know how to properly tame it, and one of the ways I tame mine is to keep it moisturized. This of course is the key to minimizing breakage during stretching of your relaxers / texlaxers, as well as transitioning.

I like to moisture my new growth by spraying it daily, and to do so I use my  SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Kids Extra-Moisturizing Detangler spray. You guys know how much I love this product since I raved about it just a few weeks ago.  Along with using that I also make sure to deep condition on a weekly basis to ensure my new growth is nice and soft. Combine these two methods work wonders. You can of course use any self made concoction to moisturize your new growth, and the method should be just as effective. Check out my latest video showing how I use my spray bottle of the SheaMoisture product to keep my new growth in check.

Until Next Time, Ciao Bellas xoxoxo
